A-Rod's start
Permalink

Rodriguez has had quite a start to the season.  After getting boo-ed on opening day, he has been playing some pretty solid ball.  His grand slam in the ninth today capped off a great game for him.  Is anyone under as much pressure as this guy right now?

When A-Rod is playing well, he's just flat out got more talent than anyone else. Lets hope he keeps it up.

The funny thing is the rest of the baseball world cares so little about A-Rod and his drama. It's like a soap opera over there in the bronx...just play baseball and leave the crying and laughing for the women

The rest of the baseball world obviously cares a pretty good amount. That's why he was the lead on baseball tonight, sportcenter, and is the most talked about player in the news in the league.

yah you're right...because espn is really the pulse of the league

just because espn is in love with nyy (cough http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/powerranking cough) or more importantly A-Rod (cough http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/preview07/news/story?page=07expertpicks cough - MVP picks) doesn't mean the rest of the league cares whether you boo or cheer him.

Face it, outside of NYY fans and possibly Boston fans, the only thing baseball people do in regard to A-rod is laugh when you boo one of the best players in the league.

And cubsfan is just paying attention because he is hoping they can get A-rod next year after soriano falls on his face

First off, isn't ESPN the pulse of the league? I would say so. Where else do you go for your sports?

And yeah, most people outside of NY are baffled by Yankees fans booing A-Rod for every mistake he makes. That's why everyone, or reporters at least, is taking notice, because there isn't a superstar out there that is loved and hated at the same time like he is.

And I'll take A-Rod next year...after Soriano puts up better numbers than anyone on your favorite team (the Brewers?).

every news outlet cant stop talking about A-Rod, everyone in the game can't stop talking about him because he is putting up better numbers than anyone in MLB. every team in MLB wants him because he is the best player in the league. how can people not embrace him? we are see a player who will, barring injury or something crazy, be the best player to ever play major league baseball. MVP.

The best part of all this is even though A-rod is having the single greatest month in history the Yankees are STILL losing.

Unless A-rod hits about 4 home runs a game, the Yankees are in trouble if they keep trotting out Igawa and Wright...etc

Maybe Hughes can turn it around
