A's vs. Giants March Madness

In case you missed it (and chances are you have), a blog over on Contra Costa Times is doing a March Madness like tourney focusing on A's and Giants players/managers/etc. (Contra Costa Times is a bay area newpaper).

It is definitely worth checking out. They are down to the sweet sixteen. If you get in now, you can influence who makes the next round.

That is pretty cool.  I wish I knew more about A's and Giants history though, some of those players I have never heard of.

The only one I don't really understand is Foxx losing to Clark...Foxx is one of the greatest of all time, was this guy just looking for a cliche "upset"

I think he was basing it on nicknames alone (The Thrill versus Double X). Foxx should have won either way.

The one I don't get is Eck over Christy Matthewson.
