Survey of GMs about the world series
Permalink

A survey of all the GMs in the majors was taken asking the question who will win the world series?
The results:
Yankees 9
Red Sox 8
Dodgers 3
Blue Jays 2
Tigers 2
Brewers 1
Cardinals 1
Indians 1
Mets 1
Phillies 1
Undecided 1

Yankees - yes, Red Sox - yes, Dodgers - sure
but from there, I just don't understand some of this bluejays? BREWERS?, only one vote for the Cardinals? and after all the Cubs did to revamp that roster how do they get nothing??????

this brings up two questions: what is up with the results of this? and who actually will win it all?

I think saying the Cubs will win the world series is analogous to saying the Buckeyes will win the National Championship, could it happen? Yes, but putting together a champion USUALLY, and I'm saying USUALLLY, takes more than a year to bring everythign together.

I love the crew, but seriously? Brewers winning the WS? I'll take the playoffs, or even finishing above .500 first.

Undecided? I'd like to know what GM found it too binding to give a preseason prediciton.

The Brewers GM must have picked the Brewers to win it all, because there is no way that's happening.

I'm not surprised the Cubs didn't get a vote.  I wouldn't vote for them.  They'll be better than last year and should make the playoffs after all that cash they dished out, but it seems like there is no ditching the curse of the goat.

I dont think the cubs will win it all this year either, but they have a better shot than indans, blue jays and brewers for sure. And I'm not sure, but I think the article said that you couldn't vote for your own team, so the vote for the Brewers was probly just Brian Cashman giving some sympathy to the bottom dwellers with some potential.
