In case you missed it, former MLB pitcher Ugueth Urbina was sentanced to 14 years in prison last week (read the story here).

How does someone go from being an all-star putting up numbers like 1.3 ERA with 34 saves to being a criminal within ten years?

Do you think there is a chance some team decides to "Major League" it and pick him up from the Venezuelan Penal League? I'm looking at you, Marlins.

That image they had of him standing behind bars in a Venezuealan prison looked rough. Prison in the US is bad, I can't even imagine a place like Venezuela.
