Phil Jackson said the NBA is in a witch hunt after kobe bryant.  The two calls about the arm in the guys faces were rediculous and the retroactive flagerant foul was bad too.  Jackson said the game is physical, that's why they call it the NBA...no boys allowed.   I'm glad Phil stood up for his player, everyone is hatin on Kobe.

Come on, there is no part of a natural shooting motion that involves giving someone a forearm in the face on the way down. It wasn't an accident. He has done it numerous times. Its a dirty play.

I really don't think that Kobe is intentially elbowing people in the face.  Yeah, he's unnecessarily flailing around after getting blocked/stripped to try and get a call, but he's not trying to hit people in the face.  Having said that, I think that the punishment Kobe is getting is fair because the key word in that last sentence was unnecessarily.  I don't think he's trying to hurt other players, but he doesn't have to throw his arms around like he's being tazered.  This is no witch hunt, Kobe is making it pretty easy.

Kobe seems like he is throwing his arms around to make contact and draw a foul that didn't happen.

The NBA is cracking down on B.S. calls. This is evidenced by their rule about T-ing up anyone who flops to get a charge called.

After the atrocities of last year's finals (DWade was getting EVERY call), I like what they are doing. If the NBA has to make an example out of Kobe to do that, so be it.

Of course, Kobe could just be a hateful person and swings elbows at whatever person is defending him (especially if the defender is Euro). In which case, I'm still backing the NBA on its actions.

There are lots of things that happen in games very similar to when Kobe's arm flailed and he got suspended and those players don't hear from the league. What bothers me more though, is when the league retroactively gave Kobe the flagarant foul when his elbow got in the grill of someone. First off, it wasn't even called a foul during the game, second off, there are tons of fouls that are similar and never called flagarant after the fact, but beyond that there are even more plays that once looked at on the tape could be called fouls and never are. The league is out to get him and its rediculous. He's the best player in the league, he should be embraced, not singled out for a bunch of garbage.

I don't think the league is "out to get him."

I do however think that the league is holding him to a higher standard than they do other players of less skill.

Is that fair? I think that it is considering the league wants Kobe to be a spokesperson for the league, and he has already had some off court troubles. They don't want him to have any on court trouble as well.

I definitely don't think that the league is out to get Kobe.  Like the Man said before, you have to realize that the league is cracking down on everything, not just Kobe.  Kobe is making it really easy for them to single him out because of how often he is seen flailing around.

I would imagine that the league wants to keep Kobe playing games and not suspended because he's one of their main attractions, so I find it hard to believe that they are singling him out.

Haha that's pretty funny. And speaking of wrestlers, there was some story that linked like 11 wrestlers to the lastest steroid probe - big shocker.

it's either love him or hate him. i love him. but regardless, this is why i don't think you can question him being the best player in the league. the lakers lose 7 straight, risk dropping out of the playoff race. what does kobe do? puts the team on his back, scoring 65, 50, and 60 again tonight. u n b e l i e v a b l e

Kobe drops 60 on the Griz and the Lakers win... by 2 points.

Not a good sign for the Lakers.
